Role Summary:
The Tech Women Alumni Association is looking for a Digital Media Coordinator to lead and coordinate our digital presence. The individual will be responsible for content creation, social media management, community engagement, and digital reporting for projects across different states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Social Media Management
- Develop and implement engaging content on LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Create two (2) high-quality Reels per week featuring alumni achievements and projects.
- Create and run a TikTok account to raise online visibility.
- Develop and upload weekly spotlights and highlights of Tech Women alumni.
- Prepare and send out a weekly newsletter with key news, opportunities, and achievements.
- Maintain an electronic record of reports for each Tech Women project across various states
- Community engagement across whatsapp channels and groups to keep Nigerian alumni informed.
- Connect with alumni in Tech Women groups and ensure they are aware of upcoming activities and opportunities.
- Share live updates on events and projects to promote active participation.
- Develop and maintain an annual calendar of all Tech Women activities on google calender
- Share the calendar with members to increase awareness and participation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in digital media, content development, or social media management.
- Strong writing and editing skills for newsletters and social media updates.
- Video production and editing of compelling Reels/TikTok content.
- Ability to maintain multiple platforms and engage with online communities.
- Very detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Knowledge of social media scheduling tools and newsletter software (e.g meta, canva etc).
- Work experience in non-profit or community-based organizations.
Knowledge of WhatsApp Channel management and best digital communication practices.
Contract Terms:
- This is a contract role, compensated based on agreed activities or project milestones.
- The initial contract is for 6 months with potential renewal based on performance and project needs.
- The role offers flexible work hours, though availability during key events and deliverables is expected.
- This position does not constitute full-time employment and does not include standard employment benefits.
